Eerie occurrences

In 2010, my family and I purchased our first home.

It was a bittersweet year due to the death of my grandmother, to whom I was very close.

But we were also happy for the news of my wife expecting our second child.

For a few months after moving in, everything was perfect until one night.

The first incident occurred when my wife and I were lying in bed.

My wife and I were talking when I noticed a dim blue light

illuminating the hallway. The light started dim and gradually became a bright blue. It lasted about

eight seconds. I asked my wife, do you see what I see? She responded wide-eyed.

Yes, what is that?

Before I could investigate, the blue light started to dim out,

and soon the hallway was dark again.

I could not find the source of the blue light,

nor could I come up with any rational explanation. The next morning my wife received a call from her father, informing her that her grandfather had passed away the night before.

My wife took solace in the fact that the blue light could have been her grandfather saying his last goodbye before going into the afterlife.

Living in that house was different compared to our other houses we'd lived in due to the fact that we always felt like we were being watched.
