And so here we are in our new anything but politics segment.

me know. And maybe we're actually on to something a little bit smarter. Here's one of my favorite

stories of the week. Let me introduce you to the woolly mouse. Yes, the woolly mouse with

fluffy long golden locks, the envy of short-haired mice everywhere.

How did this mouse become so woolly?

Well, this mouse has been genetically altered to have this sort of woolly fur.

Why, you ask, why would we want woolly mice?

The answer, this is an early experiment to bring back the woolly mammoth.

Yes, that's real. The same ones that went extinct

thousands of years ago. Why would we want to do that? Well, colossal biosciences, the company

behind this experiment has a reason. They argue in the next hour, six species will go extinct.

And at that pace, in the next 25 years, 50% of the species on this planet will also become extinct.

And they want to prevent that.
