Hello and welcome back to Sociology 101.

I often get notices from listeners and those who follow the broadcast and or the blog or social media about critiques that are out there.

Critiques specifically geared towards provisionism or me personally or to this particular broadcast.

And I have to use some discernment as to who and what I engage with, obviously.

And I tried to do that based upon the credibility of the critique.

And sometimes the critiques are decent and worthy of examination.

Sometimes they're less than that.

And today we're going to be looking at a book that notice was sent to me about it.

Several weeks ago, I guess it was, and I ordered it and got a copy of it from Matthew Sir Hady, I believe is how you'd probably pronounce that.

Matthew Sir Hady wrote a book called A Critique of Provisionism, a response of Layton Flowers,

The Potters Promise.

And first of all, I have to say, I appreciate somebody taking the time to actually publish

right down their actual point-by-point critique.

So I do actually appreciate that.

But before I dive into even just the introduction, we're going to look at the first

three pages, maybe five pages, depending on how far we want to go today, and demonstrate

how I don't think that Matthews' work here even gets off the ground based upon just the

most basic level of scrutiny, even from people from his own camp.

And I'll demonstrate what I mean by that.

In other words, I'm not just going to make a claim and then not bring the goods.
