Summary
In this episode, learn about why you fear making a decision and what you can do to reduce anxiety and boost your self-confidence. The human mind is a tool that needs to be understood and explored. Sadly, most humans do not take the time to explore their minds, and falsely assume that whatever thoughts and emotions they are aware of are factual.
Emotions should not be confused with facts. A child can assume they are bad, and unworthy as a result of emotional neglect, and parental retaliation. If this child's beliefs remain unchecked, at the level of the subconscious mind and at the neurological level, these beliefs harden into facts the mind accepts as truths.
Codependency is the manifestation of such unchecked emotions and beliefs. When one is suffering from codependency, they are stuck in the past, reliving and reenacting their childhood trauma survival strategies. Fawning, people-pleasing, and reliance on others for validation and approval keep codependent adults in the role of the wounded inner child.
To break free from anxiety, we must awaken to how the mind works and the many ways in which it was divinely designed to help us avoid pain. By default, the human mind can cut itself off from the emotions one needs to accept, in order to avoid the pain of abandonment. This is self abandonment and this results in anxiety, depression, narcissistic, entangled relationships and a myriad of mental and physical health issues.
The power of an organized mind, can set you free from psychological upset, however, to gain this mental clarity, one must possess the tools to embrace what the mind is designed to deny.
