Antiques, are they worth it?

This is a hot topic over on my blog, Kelly. We'll have to read your post.

Should have done it before today. Yes, I think that might have been a good idea.

But yeah, so this is a real burning questions people have. I get asked this all the time. Are they still popular? Where can I

sell my antiques? How do I know what they're worth? And, you know, how can I find out the value of

my antiques? So it's just a, it's a very interesting question for a lot of people.

Well, because a lot of people that listen to us really enjoy antiques or we enjoy antiques

or people get antiques gifted to them and maybe they don't want them, but they want to see

whether there were something.

That always makes, you know, aunties passing a little easier to take, I guess.

If you get gifted something fabulous.

But, you know, stuff might be just hiding in your closets or your attic that really have value and other things you might really love.

And they don't have value because they only have value to you. And that's okay too because beauty and value are really

in the eye of the beholder at the end of the day. So it might not be something that's a hot

item on the auction block right now, but it might be something

that just is absolutely beautiful to you or holds sentimental value. So there's all sorts of

reasons why someone might collect antiques. But if there are things that you have that you're

curious about as to the value, we're going to go through some particulars today as well as just discuss the topic in general.

Right. And the other thing I wanted to mention is the market is shifting rapidly. So if you had a feel for what something was worth 15 years ago, it's probably not been stagnant.

It's either gone up or down since then.
