Hey guys, what's up? Welcome back to the Roots and Refuge podcast. My name is Jessica Sowers, and I am your host here where we discuss all things growing food, homesteading, gardening, just the overall homestead life, raising animals, raising a family on a farm, faith, the simple

life. Goodness, we do get off on a few different topics, but it typically comes back to the

farm table here where we have these conversations. I'm here today by myself and I am continuing

on with our series of answering your questions. I asked on

Instagram a little while ago, basically what do you want to know and gave the opportunity for

people to ask us anything and then broke these questions down into a few different topics.

So we've already covered a couple of topics on the podcast already.

There was the Homestead edition with Jeremiah as well as he joined me to talk about our

family life and our home life. And then the content creation and business side of our

stuff, I answered those questions by myself. And today I'm going to be talking to you about the garden. So the garden is really my forte on our farm.

Jeremiah largely heads up the animal husbandry, raising meat, taking care of our dairy cows. And I am more involved in that

during certain seasons, but when the garden is in full swing, that's really my baby. That's where I

spend the majority of my time. And then, of course, in the kitchen, Jermites help me cook. And I kind of am the person who oversees that.

And then together we work on our business and raising our kids.

So interestingly enough, whenever Roots and Refuge Farm became what it is today, we did not

set out to be content creators, YouTubers, we did not set out to be teaching people this stuff.

I always knew that I wanted to be able to share our life.

And that was something that just very much came naturally to me

because I highly believe in community.

But I never saw it being what it is.
