Summary

In the second week of our new series, The Paradox of Purpose we were encouraged to answer when God calls us. It is not IF God calls you, but WHEN and if you will ANSWER. Your participation in God’s Purpose is a choice. Will you answer when God calls you? If you have ever questioned what your purpose is or if you are confused about your calling, this message is for you. Be encouraged that you don’t have to find calling, calling will find YOU!

Join us for service online every Sunday at 11am (CST) and on Monday’s for Monday Night Prayer at 6pm (CST).

If you received Christ through this message, text SAVED to 828282.

0:28.0

Here's a new experience. I never understood this until literally there are so many things that I'm learning in this.

0:37.0

But literally right when the sermon ends, right when it ends, there was like 15 minutes of like, wow, man, like that.

0:47.0

Okay, that was good. And then right after that 15 minutes, it was like, what are you going to say next week?

0:52.0

Immediately, like right after I got it, gave my wife a hug, gave our little kids, gave Luna kids, like, oh, my friends were like, you did so good.

0:59.0

And then it was like, oh, yeah, but you got to do it again, though, that's the thing.

1:02.0

Well, beautiful thing. God gave me the sermon, y'all, and we're going to do it again.

1:08.0

Now listen, some of you are just joining us. And if you are welcome or so glad you're here. Welcome to week two of the paradox of purpose. Everybody say the paradox of purpose.

1:18.0

Now, some of you you're just joining us. And if so, I'm so glad. But I want to bring you up the speed kind of from last week.

1:25.0

We're talking around this idea that purpose is a paradox. Everybody say the word paradox. Now, some of you, you're still like, what is this word paradox?

1:35.0

Like, I heard you say it last week. And so I just want to keep helping you. We posted some on Instagram. Some of you are like, comment your paradox.

1:41.0

And some of you did not understand because you were just saying something that didn't make sense. Anyways, but, okay, I'm going to give you a couple statements.

1:48.0

These are just more paradoxes for you to just kind of grapple with. So, to get a job, you have to have experience. But to get experience, you have to have a job.

1:58.0

This is like a regular, like, okay, here's one I just recently learned by a house. To have credit, good credit, you have to already have credit.

2:06.0

And to get more credit, you got to get credit. It's like, it's a weird like, you got to have good credit. But to have credit, you got to get debt. And to get debt, you got to have credit.

2:14.0

It's like, what? I don't know how the, okay, here's another one. The deeper you go in the ocean, the more shallow it gets.

2:21.0

You get it? See, I'm making you think today. The deeper you go, the more shallow it gets. See, you can't just sit here. You're going to have to participate with me today.

2:29.0

Okay, here's another paradox. You ever met someone who's so smart, like they're so smart, they're kind of dumb. You're like, you're never mess with it. You're so smart, you're like, you're so smart, you kind of, you don't, you can't tell, you just kind of like a robot. It's very weird. Anyways, there are so many paradoxes throughout life and throughout scripture.

2:45.0

And we realized last week that God is a paradox. You, again, you've never thought it directly this way, but God is a paradox. And there are paradoxes all throughout scripture, all throughout the word of God. Think about this in James 14.

2:59.0

You are exalted through humility. This is the paradox of the Christian wall. You are exalted, but you have to lower yourself.
