And we have some breaking news right off the top of the program.

A new threat has just been discovered and reported out sent to the Manhattan DA Alvin

Bragg's office.

We're just learning about this from NBC's Jonathan Deeds who has reporting from authorities

and an envelope was addressed to Bragg that it contained white powder.

That the NYPD is already on the case.

I say white powder because at this moment we don't have more information about in connection

to the threat, whether there was hazardous material or not.

Meaning we have no reason to think it's hazardous.

The testing that they have so far is not that it would be actual poison or threatening

material, but that they don't have any reason to believe it's hazardous.

But again, we just got this in moments ago.

This is not the first threat of its kind.

This is a significant development.

And while we're careful to know only to tell you what law enforcement has said, for

example, they're not saying a source or a suspect or anything like that.

I can tell you as a factual matter, we're reporting on this new threatening letter sent

to the DA at the very time that just yesterday we were reporting on a new filing by the same

DA Alvin Bragg that cites as criminal evidence, Donald Trump's public provocations to potential

violence.

Him swinging a bat at this DA.
