Today we head to the border between Lebanon and Israel, where tension has been on the rise.

Last Wednesday, the Israeli military said its northern command had approved operational plans for war with Lebanon.

Later that day, Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech warning Israel of war if it launches a major offensive.

If the war is imposed on Lebanon, the resistance will fight with no restraint and no rules and no ceiling.

Our correspondent in Lebanon, Zaynachoudar, has been following that tension for months now.

We spoke to her last year shortly after the October 7 events in Gaza and Israel, when

worries of war were first rising to the surface.

War drive? We're driving through the villages, the border villages in southern Lebanon, they're empty. People have left their homes, their livelihoods.

Zaynha Kutter covers Lebanon for Al Jazeera English, and she's been back and forth between

Beirut and the Lebanon-Israel border for the last three weeks.

We always listen to the Hezbollah run the radio station because they're the first to announce

if the group launches an attack against an Israeli military position.

Since fighters from Hamas launched an attack against Israel on October 7th, Lebanon's

Hezbollah militia has regularly struck Israeli forces along those countries' border.

Lebanon's militant group Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with Israeli soldiers along the border,

raising concerns that violence could spread throughout the region.

So far, more than 50 people have been killed, including a journalist from Reuters covering the events.
