This is the show, the podcast, where we

aim to take the succitude out of the news cycle, because there's always enough bad news to talk

about. Let's inject some good news into the news cycle. I'm Aaron McIntyre, joined as always by my

lovely, beautiful wife Bella. Bella, how are you?

I'm doing all right. How are you? I'm doing well. I'm anxious to get to it again today. Five

stories we think objectively are uplifting or encouraging. That sounds like an advertisement for a bra.

No, how about this? Just positive and encouraging five stories we think

and have selected for you. Also, the return of Ask Izzy. But first, let's start with this.

Now, this is going to sound really morbid and really sad to begin with, but I promise you,

it is actually a good story. This comes from North Austin, Texas, where neighbors called police after hearing cries coming from a dumpster.

Inside that dumpster, they found a baby with its umbilical cord still attached.

Local heroes of Perry Lewis and Larcy Fausto jumped into action and pulled the baby girl who

was face down from the trash. Lewis said, quote, she saved herself. She saved herself.

She cried. She has a God-given voice. She cried up out of that dumpster. About 40, 50 feet away

from me. My neighbor heard her. The baby was taken to the hospital where

she is safe and in good health as well, according to CBS Austin. Police say they are looking

for the parents. So what an just a heinous thing that happened and a terrifying thing that

happened. Yet these neighbors knew what they had to do.

They didn't just ignore it.
