Probably, though, most of you who hear this are going to be listening on Thursday morning.

Thursday morning of conference tournament week. Special, special spot in my old cold heart.

College football, excuse me, I love it so much, I can't even say it.

I've been up all week past my bedtime because of free agency.

Let's try that again.

College basketball, arguably, my first love.

Going all the way back to middle school, running the NCAA bracket pool illegally,

going to high school, learning my lesson, still running the NCAA bracket pool illegally.

But knowing all the teams and the players and gathering with my friends to watch the big games

and going all the way back to being a kid.

And my parents taking me to the decrepit jar arena to watch the Akron Zips,

going away to college for a while and not finding any of my normal friend crew

that really wanted to go over to the Convocation Center and watch the Ohio Bobcats.

But I would go.

And I had friends that I grew up with that played in the Mid-American Conference.

And when I became an adult, at least by number, I'm still working on doing that.

In general, I was lucky enough to have friends that had connections to get sweets at the

Gundarina.

And it was the Gundarina.

I still call it the Gundarina, and I will forever call it to Gundarina, just like I will call it Fawcett Stadium, and I'll call anything whatever I want to, because this is my podcast, and I'm an old man. Anyway, when the Mack tournament moved to Cleveland in 2000, it was called Gundarina. And what starts on Thursday morning is arguably the most anticipated Mac tournament of the mall because the Miami Red Hawks are nationally ranked.
