We're not talking about on the field related issues as the NFL season inches closer and closer to beginning a new.

We're talking about off the field issues and in particular we're talking about court issues as Roger Gidell a Zekele Elliott the NFL the Dallas Cowboys all rolled up into a controversy that is currently in federal district court.

We're talking about off the field issues and in the state of Texas and so I thought I would go ahead and start off today show by putting on the good old warrior hat and figuring out what exactly is going on because this is getting messy.

I think for a lot of people out there to try to figure out what exactly is this story.

He's a little bit confusing but a Zekele Elliott appeals to the NFL before he takes his appeal to the court system.

So he appealed his ruling that he was given a six game suspension to a arbiter arbitrator appointed by the NFL that arbitrator yesterday upheld the NFL six game suspension but because of Zekele Elliott having filed this lawsuit he is allowed to play on Sunday and we will get a ruling on whether or not he is given an injunction.

And would be eligible to play for more games than that on Friday evening.

Okay is that confusing was all of that just a complete gobbly book to the average person out there starting off your day all over the country.

In the near future I'm told we are going to have our own show station where we're on every day you don't ever have to worry about us being bumped I'll tell you what station that is going to be but a lot of you are upset I understand on satellite radio when the show vanishes at 6 30 Eastern and so you can stream us on Fox sports radio dot com you can go download the podcast as many of you have done I appreciate you wanting to hear the show I appreciate your frustration over that.

I was hoping that we were going to have this set up perfectly so there would be a perfect bridge and I'd be able to say hey go to this station and we're going to be on and we won't miss a single day but that was not able to happen but it's going to happen soon serious XM is on it so I want you guys to know that and know that you're going to be able to find us there on satellite radio very soon but I want to give you that backdrop as we talk about this is the E.c. L.E. it situation so there are multiple conflicting angles.

Here and this is turned into a bit of a legal mess right I think it's fair to say that your average person out there is lost in the weeds here trying to figure out exactly what is going on with this is E.c. L.E.

at case so let me try to succinctly sum this up a Z.c. L.E. it gets a six game suspension from the NFL he then appeals to the NFL the NFL brings in an impartial judge to review this.

And the judge says you know what I agree with the findings of NFL Commissioner Roger Gidell he still has a six game suspension so the NFL

decision has now been appealed and fully exhausted within the NFL rubric of justice okay think of it as two different columns the NFL

column the ruling that the NFL is going to give is now complete they made it they were appealed to they upheld it so the six game suspension from the NFL sticks okay on the other column the
