I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson.

I guess I sound a little more like myself, but I've been recording this show in my head

since I walked out of Davis-Waid Stadium on Saturday.

And I'm going to be honest with you, that's among the most deflated times

that I have walked out of that stadium in my life.

It truly, truly was.

It was absolutely gut-wrenching.

And I'm a guy to listen.

I've been doing this a long time.

And I've learned to develop like some thick skin.

But that is absolutely one we had no business losing.

Now, I'm not going to have a pity party,

but we're going to call some things as I see it. I'm going to have some very pointed

things to say at times. I'm also going to have some proper context, and there's probably

going to be some things you don't like either way. Steve's too soft. Steve's too difficult.

Steve's too negative, whatever. But we're

going to be honest about what happened last night. In a game, we absolutely should not have lost.

And there are a few things I want to establish before we get going. Okay? Now, the first thing is,

yes, we're four and four. Yes, we are a better team than last year.

In fact, we may be a better team than we anticipated.

But the damnable misery of the whole thing is we don't have the win-loss total to reflect our progress.
