It's one thing to risk your own health, possibly life, with a game of chicken.

When did the American people decide it was okay to run the government that way?

Hello there, everyday Americans. Paul Engel here with the Constitution study where we read

and said of the Constitution, teacher action generates be free. Glad you could join me today.

You know, more and more it seems like government runs by a game of chicken, especially at the federal level.

I mean, we've seen these the multiple shutdowns, the quote unquote shutdowns are not

really shutdowns. We see all this brinksmanship. It seems like nothing can be done unless it's a

crisis. And, well, again, perfect example is this whole, you know, DHS funding kerfuffle.

I know a lot of people that are frustrated with the state of TSA, with the long wait

lines at certain airports, although, as I understand it, it's not all airports. But it's frustrating because what you see is a bunch of, well, let's face it, torts in

Washington, D.C., playing political games while the American people deal with the consequences

of their shenanigans.

Now, people have said, hey, maybe we can step in and help.

I heard a report that Elon Musk had once offered to fund TSA,

fund the salaries of TSA workers, generous offer.

As I understand it, filmmaker Tyler Perry actually showed up at the Atlanta airport with

what was reported as significant amount of cash that he wanted to give to TSA workers.

But he was turned down because it's actually against the law to give money to government employees.

And for very good reasons. When I worked in corporate America and I had government customers, mostly there were state local governments, but we had to be

very careful. You weren't allowed to give them things. I remember I was going with a group on the

train in New York City for some meetings,
