In advance of the debate, the Huffington Post broke a story about some of the senators,

Cory Booker, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris,

sending a letter through Tom Perez, chairman of the Democratic National Committee,

expressing concern with MSNBC, the network televising the debate.

The message in that letter was that the senators were concerned about what it would say to

sexual assault survivors if the debate happens without the network's parent NBC,

at least agreeing to conduct an investigation into allegations of harassment and cover-up.

I wonder what host Rachel Maddow thinks about this?

She too was advocated that her boss do an actual investigation of say,

A, how Matt Lauer was allowed to operate unchecked amid multiple sexual harassment allegations,

and B, why Ronan Farrow had to go to the New Yorker to get his reporting about sexual harassment out
