The show where two dudes who are not quite nerds but not quite nobs. Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Ashman, and today we are wrapping up sequel September with something a little bit different. We are delving further into the Nightmare in Elm Street franchise, but we're going to cover two movies. It'll be spoiler-free, and we're kind of pitting them against each other a little bit.

So this episode is going to be a nightmare in Elm Street, the Dreamchild from 1989, directed by

Stephen Hopkins versus Freddy's Dead, the Final Nightmare from 1991, directed by Rachel

to Laley.

It's the fifth installment versus the sixth installment in the franchise.

And in the Dreamchild, the fifth installment, it continues the story of Final Girl Alice from

the Dreammaster, and the sixth installment takes place in a near future where Elm Street

has become devoid of children.

Again, this will be a spoiler-free episode in which we compare and contrast certain elements

of each film and maybe declare which one we think is superior to the other.

If you have no experience in this franchise, we won't really spoil anything big.

We might talk about how certain death sequences, not too big in detail, and maybe some plot elements.

But I think you can hang, even if you don't know much about this franchise.
