Hi, this is Ryan McMahon. Since releasing the final episode of Thunder Bay,

almost one year ago, many of you have asked me about our plans,

if any, for another season.

Before we get to that, we'd like to share that over this past year, we've been in Thunder Bay many times following up, listening.

This past summer I spent 10 days in the city hosting a podcasting workshop with indigenous youth

through a partnership with journalists for human rights. This happened because of

your support, so thank you. Many people have asked if I will be returning to Thunder Bay to tell the next chapter of this story.

What became of the people I met, the trials that were pending, most importantly,

what happens to a country's dirty secret when it's no longer a secret

now that the systemic racism that poisons that town is known to the world through

our work and the work of others. What next? Can Thunder Bay

change when its problems are so much bigger than one small city? Those are the

questions some of you have asked me.

Others ask me about all the other Thunder Bayes out there.

Dozens of troubled towns with secrets that should be exposed and stories that should be told.

Will I be going to any of them and turning the same lens on their

stories?

I'm sorry it's taken so long to answer you, but I did promise you answers, and here they
