hi everybody welcome to anne ortley's weekly weather my name is anne ortley and i'm sitting here at my bright red desk on a very very cold sunday got the winter coat out have been wearing it

we had like 50 degrees on thanksgiving which was stunning. The parade was beautiful, the food was

fabulous, yada, yada. And then suddenly there's, like, cold weather came with the wind.

So it is very cold here in New York, but my heat is on and the cats are sleeping and all

is good. Well, no, there's not, every cat's not sleeping here. Comes Handsome to help with the radio

show. Hi, handsome.

They have been fed, though, so he should be pretty well behaved.

So what we do here on the weekly weather, happy Thanksgiving to all of you,

happy Thanksgiving Sunday, which is, I don't know, this just always feels like such a delicious,

delicious weekend, because you don't have to shop.

You just have to eat really good food and then play.

So I have to say I had a great time after kind of fretful and stressful weeks.

The last couple weeks have been hard.

But now it seems like, okay, calming down, calming down, getting ready for the Christmas rush.

And we actually have Christmas a little longer this year because Thanksgiving was early,

so we have an extra week until we get there.

But this week actually has this very powerful and a lot of endings.

Okay, and I know we had a lot.

We lost Larry Hagman, J.R. on Dallas.

I can remember wondering who shot J.R. way back when.

And, of course, I loved I dream of genie. I wanted one. I wanted to be a genie, you know, in a little bottle. You know, like, really cool. But now we are here forward Thanksgiving, 2012, getting ready for the end of the Mayan calendar, coming in a couple of weeks.
