My name is Anne Ortley and I'm an astrologer here in New York

And I'm broadcasting tonight from my bright red desk

And this is the show for the week of June 22-2014, June 22, 2014.

It's summer. Summer happened officially on Friday morning,

bright and early, when we had the summer solstice, the day when the sun is, or Saturday morning, rather, we have the summer solstice when the day the sun stops in the sky for three days and turns around.

And now the days will be getting shorter by one minute each,

all the way until the fall equinox in Libra time on September 21st,

then the nights get longer than the days.

So this is the peak, the maximum light. actually Friday, Saturday, Sunday was the maximum light,

and then tomorrow we just get a little shorter every day.

So, of course, the sun is still high above the equator, so we'll continue to warm and have the summer season.

And the summer season really commences when the sun goes

from the solstice point all the way to the fall, the equinox. So the warmth of the sun will

continue to warm the northern hemisphere and bring us summer, but we also have begun a new season,

a season of water, emotions and feelings, because cancer rules the season of summer.
