Hi everybody, welcome to Ann Ortley's weekly weather.

My name is Anne Ortley, and I'm broadcasting here from my bright red desk on the lovely

Upper East Side of Manhattan on a beautiful night.

It's a little rainy outdoors, so the temperature's only 73.

And the cats are knuffled all snug in their couches and chairs wherever they are.

So I think we'll have an uninterrupted show, although I have to say I've spent a lot of time with them this week.

I had a good friend pass over, die on Thursday night, and I came home from Fire Island and kind of spent time with the cats

and the books and reading poetry and just kind of meditating on the departure of a dear friend of mine, Jackie.

Jackie End, she has left us way too soon, as far as I'm concerned. And, you know, when you lose a friend, it's weird. It's really weird. You don't, old people are supposed to die. And I know I'm getting older, but I don't really think of I'm old enough to have

friends dying. And she was just a really wonderful, wonderful woman. So I feel honored to know her.

I feel blessed to have been able to help in her struggle the last two months while she worked facing cancer. I was able to give her some

Reiki sessions a couple times a week, and that was actually really helpful for me, helpful for

her. She loved it. She was like, I think I'm a Reiki junkie. I'm like, it's a good junkie. It's

a good thing to be an addicted to. If you have to be addicted to something, Reiki is a wonderful thing. So thank you, Lordus,

for teaching it to me, and thank you for Felicia, telling me that I would be good at Reiki

because she's a Reiki master, and we were both born on the same day in the same year. And she

said, you know, Anne, our hands are good. And Felicia learned Reiki back when I was learning

astrology.

So when we met in a, when she came for a reading one time, we were talking and she says, you know, and I'm like, wow, I should probably check it out.

So then Lourdes taught me.

Lourdes is my Reiki master.
