just in time to catch the train with Gilbert and Charlie.

Charlie was immediately seasick on boarding the boat to King's Port and Anne was glad to have some time with Gilbert alone before parting ways

at the dock, whereupon she was mired enthusiastically by Prat

by Priscilla, ready to escort her to their boarding house.

Anne was so cheered by Priscilla's non-stop, happy prattle, that she decided to forego home-sick thoughts

till another time.
