I've been, it's been brilliant working places like the Tower of London,

because you get to meet

many members of the public who are fascinated by history. And what's particularly interesting

is over the years you get a bit of a sense of who the most interesting historical figures,

the most important historical events are in the collective consciousness. There are certain

people who seem to just reverberate across the centuries. And I would say that Anne Boleyn is foremost among those, as we can see from the number of you who are here tonight. And this evening, we're very fortunate to be hearing from three speakers who themselves have written about Anne Boleyn and explored this fascinating period of history

from many different perspectives. And we are going to be hearing from them in a particular order.

We are going to, first of all, have the entirety of Anne Boleyn from Lauren Mackay, who is situated

in the middle here. Then we will proceed to the downfall of Anne Boleyn from two very different perspectives,

first of all from Susanna Lipscomb and then from George Bernard.
