Last year, a friend sent me a message on Instagram.

She told me that someone she knew and Benara had recently been diagnosed with cancer and

was sharing what she learned from her experiences on social media.

I had been at a conference once, previously with Ann, and thought she seemed like a neat

person.

So I decided to check it out.

Ann's Instagram was private, so I sent a follow request and she was gracious enough to

accept.

Soon, I was seeing the world through the eyes of a young mom of seven kids battling cancer.

A young mom who already has a son with a rare genetic disease called PCD that causes chronic

or current infections in the lungs, ears, and sinuses.

A young mom with two twins that at the time of her diagnosis were just a year old.

I became captivated by Ann's post and her ability to apply what she was learning in the

old testament to herself.

I thought that before we turn our attention entirely to the new testament year of Come Follow

Me, it might be good to look back on the lessons learned from the old testament.
