Hi everyone welcome back to terms of service today's episode features an Adelphi a media and pop culture of when she was caught posing as a wealthy heiress and arrested for fraud.

After three years in prison, she was released on Bond in 2022.

Her life story had been told in several television and documentary specials, including the wildly popular

Netflix series, Inventing Anna.

Since her release, she has raised money through art sales and holding spontaneous art shows in New York

City while serving the duration of her sentence on house arrest.

For this episode, we actually visited Anna while on house arrest and spoke to her about the pitfalls of notoriety and scandal,

how the media has depicted her, her time in prison, and her current lawsuit against the US

government for revoking her ability to access

social media.

So the media has played a significant role in your life story for probably both good and bad.

Mostly bad.

Do you feel like it's mostly bad?

Probably, yeah.

I guess we just wanted to jump into that first like what what has your experience

been in the media just pretty much negative all around I'm just joking. I mean I think I see media at this point as

like entertainment industry mostly. I mean they're just so few outlets that are not incentivized to make you as crazy wild as possible and that don't resort to like cheap clickbates.

Do you feel like the media has portrayed you accurately or not at all?

I don't think there's one person like who's alive that has been portrayed accurately in the medium.

I also don't think anybody ever should care what the media says about them.

I wish, I wish I felt that way.
