Tonight, the soon-to-be-crowned American League Western Division champion White Sox take on the California Angels, and they wrap up a homestand trying to sweep seven straight.

Hi, everybody. This is Ken Wilson, along with Joe McConnell. The weather is ideal, certainly a bit cooler than in recent days, but just perfect for this one before a sellout crowd at Comiskey Park

as the White Sox try to reduce their magic number to four.

Kansas City picked up a win this afternoon.

The White Sox will try to win it tonight behind Lamar Hoyt.

The veteran right-hander going after his 20th win of the year.

And Ken Porch, 11 and 9,

will be on the mound for the Angels who have had a miserable road trip going 1 and 5.

Reggie Jackson has not appeared in this series, but he's in the starting lineup tonight.

He'll be hitting cleanup for the Angels.

So three victories already over California for the Sox, 8 to 5, 11 to nothing,

and then the brilliant 12-inning win in last night's game that ended early this morning, 7 to 6.

Well, we're going to take a look at the starting lineups, but first, let's pause for station
