how do I act as a Christian in this political moment?

I think my answer is you've got to commit to the formative life,

the hidden life of becoming an imitator of Jesus.

And that's the answer I think that is ours to give,

not here's how we solve this political problem or this

political crisis that we may see around us.

The torrent of actions by design have sent many into a sense of disorientation and shock precisely by their immediacy.

Now, what's immediately has happened in the last few months really matters.

Consequential things are happening will continue to happen. But I can't help but think that as Christians,

we are called, perhaps, to a longer and deeper time frame. Maybe one way to put it would be, maybe the important question is less, what is Donald Trump doing to the world? And instead, what is Trump revealing about the world?

Because the reality is what Trump reveals about the world by his actions probably points to realities that will

far outlast and probably also far preceded his administration. And that's why I was so excited
