Oh God, this is Play Expo coming up, isn't it? Play Expo weekend in Blackpool. Oh, I love this. I love this show. I love going to Blackpool. I'm seeing you guys having a beer. You know what? I'm getting married in October.

I was thinking this on the way in today. I've got my stagdew coming up in August. This is going to be a bigger weekend than my stagdo guarantee. This should have been my stagdo. Yeah, stagdo is going to be a sit down and a couple of drinks, isn't it? This is It's going to be a full weekend of madness.

Yeah.

Now, we did go to Blackpool

last year for Play Expo and it is, you know, to me it is my favourite event on the retro calendar, not only because everyone gets together. Going out in Blackpool, I mean, it's the kind of place where probably you haven't been since you were a kid if you had no reason to go. No, it kind of feels like the 90s is still alive in Blackpool. We went last year, didn't we, after the show,

probably about five in the afternoon, and it felt like we're in a beather. Yeah, there was a guy drinking WKD, and there was a bar playing pretty green eyes at full volume, and it was like three in the afternoon. Or the terrace doors wide open, wasn't it? So it is, you know, it's such an amazing weekend.

We look forward to this every year.

And this year, especially so, because we are proud to announce that we are officially part of the UK's biggest retro gaming show.

This weekend, we're going to be there at Play Expo in Blackpool, hosting the interview stage on the Saturday. How are we going to get any shopping done, Dan? I'm disappointed now. We're going to have to get there early. Sunday, Sunday, we're going to have to get up early and look for some last minute bargains. Brave the hangover. Yeah, we'll get guys to go around the spot stuff on Saturday and then hide it and tell us where it is.

You know, of course, if you do want to bring us any games to the stage, that's always appreciated. Now, on this week's show, it is really a special all about Play Expo, which happens in Blackpool this weekend. And this week, our special guest is going to be Andy Brown, who is the MD of replay events who organise this show, and also console passion as well. Oh God, I think I bought their whole stock of Amiga CD-32 games when they were listing them. Well, they are, you know, one of the biggest retro retailers as well, aren't they? Yeah, the biggest kind of online independent retro retailer, away from eBay, you know.

So it's going to be interesting just to find out, you know, how a retro retailer earns a living in this day and age,

kind of the struggles of it, the stuff that works well, and also organizing these massive shows.

I mean, you think we went to play Expo in Manchester last September. And it's like, it is like

an aircraft hangar in that place. It is absolutely giant. And they also organize the gaming markets.
