Imagination, zest, and energy. The words my guest to describe an incredible show by Yves Saint Laurent,

but I also applied to Mr. Andre Leone Talley. He is, well, let's see now, we were to say he were like Thomas Boswell in the London journals,

except he's the first, how most I put this, arbiter of style, who's also an observer of style.

We know, of course, from his time at Women's World Daily at Vogue. He's now the subject of the terrific new documentary, The Gospel

According to Andre. Again, I'm talking about, and to my guest, Andre Leon Talley. It's an

honor to have you here. Well, it's indeed an honor to be on your show. Mr. Mitchell,

thank you for having me. Mr. Oh, my gosh. Okay. We were talking about something before we got to start,

which actually was something I wanted to talk to you about is,

and the thing you don't talk about that much,

but I saw it in the movie, the documentary, it was proved to me,

that film has been a big influence on you.

Film has been extraordinary influence to me because, well, good film.

I don't watch trashy films. I think I'm a good judge of films.

But incredibly good directors have been a great influence to me. Visconti.

Well, you actually at one point reference Fear Eats the Soul, so you know you're a Fossmender fan too.

Oh, wow, wow, wow. Fear East a soul.

Mr. Fossbinder. Fossbinder and his boyfriend. Well, I love Mr. Foss Binder because he took risk

and he did so many films, he made so many beautiful films before he died. And he has a

body of work that stands for something very strong. And Fear Ease's Soul is one of the great

films. It's a great film about what we deal with today.
