I wanted to talk a little bit about Jazz Grizzlies, specifically about the Grizzlies.

Since you talk with Donovan Mitchell back is almost certainly going to win that series and the Grizzlies are making their mark.

I want to give them a little love.

Of course, the highlight of Game 2 last night was John Moran's attempted murder of Rudy Gobaire by Donk,

which Gobaire rejected to his credit.

And that Donk that John Trident at all says everything about how audacious this dude has been since he walked into the league.

This is a point guard who in his third career game, Black Kyrie Irving at the buzzer of regulation and talked junk to everyone in your shot about it,

including Kyrie, who seems to be every young player's idol.

But the thing that I noticed on that Donk, even as much as the highlight, was how it came, the would be Donk.

It came off a give and go with Kyle Anderson.

And that's a reminder of something else that Moran has the craft of the veteran and the feel and willingness to play within a team concept.

From day one, Moran is weaponized to speed as an off ball cutter.

Those cuts, they don't just open up scoring opportunities and highlight dunks for him.

They're a way for John to get into the lane and kick the ball out to an open teammate.

If you think about this, we don't celebrate many 21 year old stars for their off ball cutting,

especially ones with supernatural athleticism like Moran.

He has a lot of heady veteran stuff to his game and he uses it to empower teammates.

He's already a master at the pass-fake.

He does it in the lane on the pick and roll like modern Ginoe, Bling and Joingles,

tricking big guys left and right.
