It's the first Ruth Strauss Foundation day,

launched in memory of Andrew Strauss' wife

who died with a rare form of lung cancer just after Christmas.

The hoping to replicate the success of the Jane McGraw day

in Sydney every year, the SCG turns pink on the third day

of the test match in memory of Glen McGraw's wife.

Well, last week I sat down for a chat with both of them

to talk about their wives, their foundations,

and also what we can expect tomorrow.

This was a conversation that I'd very little to do with cricket,

but in many ways, cricket is at the heart of it.

age 31 in 1997.

We went on to have two very happy, healthy children,

and unfortunately, it came back.
