you've forgotten some of the more disturbing details over the years.

The story is about the murder of five children at the hands of their mother.

I think it's a good case study at how far we've come in the treatment of mental health and hopefully continue to progress in the future. This happened in 2001, and I can't help

but think that if it had happened more recently, she would have gotten the help that she needed,

and five children would still be alive. This is the story of Andrea Yates.

Andrea Yates was born in Hawsville, Texas, the youngest of five children of Judah Karen Kohler, a German immigrant, and Andrew Emmett Kennedy,

whose parents were Irish immigrants. During Andrea's teenage years, she struggled with bulimia

and depression, even talking to a friend when she was 17 about her thoughts of suicide.
