This week marks the 40th anniversary at NBC News for our dear friend and colleague, the

one and only Andrea Mitchell.

During her career at NBC, Andrea has broken barriers, broken news, and redefined what it means

to hustle.

She's the chief Foreign Affairs correspondent at the Network, where she covers the State

Department and President Trump's, shall we say, never boring foreign policy.

She also hosts Andrea Mitchell reports every day on MSNBC at New N Eastern and during the

2016 election.

She took on the easy job of leading our coverage of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign,

and oh, by the way, she's been a huge part of Meet the Press, clocking in now at 212 appearances

on the show, including the most recent one Sunday.

In her four decades in NBC, Andrea has redefined what it means to outwork outlast and outclass

the competition.

So we couldn't be prouder, and I couldn't be prouder of having her as someone I look

up to.
