Andre 3000 is best known as half of Atlanta's outcast, who are arguably the greatest hip-hop

duo of all time.

Andre is one of the most ingenious rappers ever.

As an artist he's otherworldly.

He's a hip-hop affer futurist who styles wholly unique and who skill is unmatched.

It just doesn't get much better or more interesting than him.

If there was such a thing as a hip-hop unicorn, it'd be Andre 3000 no question.

Outside of the South most hip-hop fans first heard of Outcast in 1995 when they got

booed at the source awards after winning best new artists.

This was during the peak of the East Coast West Coast rivalry and Andre threw down the

gauntlet declaring the South's got something to say.

Outcast with the first Southern rappers to realize the same commercial success as any

East or West Coast rapper at the time.

In 2003 their double album speaker box The Love Below was certified diamond, meaning

it sold over 10 million copies.

But as you're about to hear, Andre is often haunted by his own legacy.
