Well, it's been a long journey, and finally we've arrived at the victory lap episode. Howdy? I'm Jeff Goldsmith,

and this is the Q&A. My agenda is simple. Each week I plan to bring you in-depth insight into the

creative process of storytelling. And folks, today we have creator and showrunner of Andor, season

two, Tony Gilroy with us to celebrate his victory lap and do a season recap as best as we

can. There's a lot of stuff to cover. And I got to say, it has been a blast these past few weeks

to interview Tony and his fellow writers, Dan and Bo and Tom, and they really stuck their landing

with the Andor Season 2 bringing the series to just a great close.

And there's so much still to talk about. And I think that's why some of it is going to end up actually

in Backstory Magazine. We already have the directors that are going to be in our upcoming Emmy issue,

which is coming out right as Emmy voting starts in June. So I'm seeing what else could go in there as well because I think

Andor is worthy of Emmy consideration for sure. But look, it's great to have Tony back. It's really

actually also been fascinating to hear his fellow writers talk about him. When I mentioned some of the

things that they say they learned from him, you could almost see in his eyes going, oh yeah, that's right.

Because if you think about it,

it's other people analyzing his work that he's also working closely with, and you don't always

get to hear what they're thinking. So I think Tony was amused to hear some of their analysis

of his process. I guess one thing that was interesting about this interview was Tony was really good

about also taking us into the kind of administrative side

of being a showrunner and really kind of elaborating on the mountains of paperwork that go along with

running a TV show while also maintaining your creative vision. As usual, Tony's done a fantastic

job of analyzing his own creative process, so I know you'll dig this episode. And speaking of things to dig,
