so far and yeah a lot's happened I think it's fair to say since Liverpool last kicked the ball

in anger yeah it's just an ever, ever-evolving situation it feels like.

Last night, David Ornstein put a bit more meat on the bones

with Liverpool's pursuit of Andoni-Irola.

He took to Twitter to confirm that Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement

with the aforementioned Basque manager to become head coach, set to sign two-year contract,

and he also went on to say that there's going to be the inevitable backroom staff reshuffle as well with Pablo de La Torre, Tommy Elfick, Big Red Tommy Elfick,

Sean Cooper and Tom Weber likely to join in terms of the staff members as well, and there's a plan to present Iriola before the end of the week so what does that mean it's exciting I think I'm

positive about it anybody who hasn't seen me talk about ariola whatsoever until this

point I think it's the first port of call is to say that yeah I like this appointment

there's still you know a lot to learn I think about him

and the jury's definitely out in terms of his ability to do it at the absolute pinnacle of football

and European football as well because that pedigree isn't there just yet I don't think it's

going to be an overnight success necessarily I think it might take a little bit of time to implement

his ideas and his plans on us because of what we've been. More recently, I think it's going to be

a big old rude awakening for some actually until we see a side that resembles what Andoni

Iroa wants and expects. I think it will be night and day from kind of the back end of Arna Slot, Liverpool time.
