And I'm excited to say that we are discussing a novel that would be

Destination Unknown, one of Christie's mid-career thrillers. I do just want to start

out though with a little bit of a mayaculpa. Marmalade is bitter. I've totally wrong. We have heard from so many of you about this. I just

felt the need to address it up top. I was wrong. I admit to feet. I concede can see you know I don't always like

being in the right because sometimes I'm like a little bit of a Cassandra

Kemper but in the case of Marmalade, Marmalade is bitter and I told you so.

Well I will say this after having recorded that episode and having gotten such a vehement pushback from Catherine,

which was about to be echoed by approximately 100 of you.

I checked out the marmalade that I use in my refrigerator.

I've gotten a little bit of shade thrown at me for using Smuckers brand marmalade, but you know what?

I'm going to stand by my smuckers label.

However, it is labeled sweet marmalade. So the marmalade I am used to is specifically the sweet

variety and traditional marmalade is certainly of the bitter variety and I should not have doubted Agathacristy because that is a brilliant means of hiding a bitter poison.

Should you have doubted B? I shouldn't have doubted either of you but suffice to say I really shouldn't have doubted Agith Christie.

That's kind of the thesis of this podcast.

I did not know that Sweet Marmalade existed. Well, you know, we've all, I think, learned something. It's the

lessons we don't expect to learn that are the ones sometimes that stay with us the

longest, so I think we all have a lot to chew on. that are the ones sometimes that stay with us the longest.
