Contemporary mystery author, Tanaana French whose latest novel The

searcher is not so much a mystery as it is a modern Western but honestly that is

okay we will forgive her that because it is a brilliant novel. There is a mystery of course because it's Tana French, but it is, yeah, Western inspired and we both just thought

it was wonderful and that she was a wonderful guest.

Oh my God, yeah, we spoke with her about the Searchers and her Dublin Murder Squad series and so much more.

We managed to have a spoiler-free conversation, so if you haven't

read the searcher yet, don't worry. Although we would urge you to get on that because it is as

beautifully written as everything that Tana writes. So that conversation will be coming to you in our next episode and then after that we had the joy of sitting down once again with our longtime friend of the podcast,, Dr Mark Aldridge, who has a new book out. It's called

Ag of the Christie's Poirot, the greatest detective in the world. We were able to get our

hot little hands on an advanced copy and the book is just gorgeous.

The hardcover version is already out in the UK and it's coming out in early 2021 in the US.
