2.22 and 23 felt like an ideal place to end David's story

with a testament to God's redeeming power.

But today, Pastor J.D. explains why the book actually ends with 70,000

Israelites dying because of the sin of their king. Not exactly the send-off we

expected, but the good news is that ultimately the story of

David's life, Warts and all, points us to the real king we've all been looking for.

So what should our response be to this great news? Let's find out as we rejoin
