Welcome to this bedtime story from Abide, a guided sleep meditation written from the inspiration

of the scriptures.

This story is about the heavenly visions Daniel received, as recorded in Daniel chapter 7.

They were night visions of times and events that were yet to come.

In these revelations, God showed Daniel things that would take place in the world.

Things too wonderful for Daniel to fully comprehend.

God also gave Daniel a glimpse of His Majesty as the Ancient of Days seated on his throne. But before we get into the

story, take a few moments to get comfortable, remove all distractions from the room, relax and

take a deep breath in and out. Let the peace of God surround you as you keep taking slow, deep breaths, steadying your heart rate and feeling your muscles relax and release all tension of your day.

Let's pray.

Holy God, I invite your presence here tonight.

Ancient of days, high and lifted up.

I bow myself before you.

I let go of all other things, all thoughts, concerns, worries, and stresses. I lay them down at your feet.

Thank you for allowing me into your throne room. My soul worships you tonight, as I fall asleep

in your presence. Fill my dreams with glorious visions of who you are. Surround me with

your angels to guard me as I sleep. I rest securely in the knowledge that you are God.

You are good, and you are with me. In Jesus'esus name i surrender my sleep to you amen the imagery of the

ancient of days sitting on his throne is a glorious picture of god most high ruling over heaven and earth he He was before all things, before the mountains

and hills burst forth from the earth, before the seas were divided, and before the sun,

moon and stars were spoken into existence. God was there. For all eternity, he was there.

Rest your mind on the eternal presence of God tonight. Not only was God before all things,
