And, of course, male-female attraction is obviously an intrinsic part of the way that

world really works.

And so we're going to talk about something which is a little bit awkward, and anyone

who's had to discuss it with their teenage children or pre-teenage children maybe knows

exactly how awkward this can be.

And it's not entirely comfortable and easygoing to discuss it on the air either,

just because I prefer, in general, for this show to be something that anyone can listen to

and their children can listen to.

And this topic is one that definitely requires parents to make the decision as to whether

you do want many young people listening to this or not.

Bill Clinton just wins the election in 1992, November 92. He takes office in January 93, and soon after that he appoints as his surgeon general, a woman named Jocelyn Elders.

Look, she's a controversial personality.

I don't think she has a firm cultural rooting in, if you like, American values

because she almost seemed to delight in tossing grenades.

It's a woman with an obviously complex background.
