Summary

The Ninth Circuit Court (!) just handed down a ruling that the citizenship rules outlined in the 14th Amendment must apply AS WRITTEN, rather then how Democrats have PRETENDED it was written. Bill, Steve and Scott discuss the thorny issue of what to do about people already granted US Citizenship through the Left’s cruel and capricious effort to manufacture not just votes, but entire voters.

Well, is it time to hoist the anchor baby?

0:03.0

Hi, everybody. I'm Bill Whittle here with Steve Green and Scott Ott.

0:05.6

And breaking news, just that I heard on the way into the taping today,

0:10.1

courtesy of Dr. Steve Turley, who's got a great channel and gets in depth on a lot of

0:14.7

the details that I don't fully understand, but that never stops me from giving an authoritarian

0:19.6

or authoritative position on all of them.

0:24.1

Here's the news that I heard coming in today.

0:27.6

The Ninth Circuit Court, as Dr. Turley and others refer to it as the Ninth Circus Court, has just issued a remarkable decision.

0:34.6

And I'm going to outline the basics of the decision because I'm not

0:38.1

so much interested in the legality of what I'm about to talk about. I kind of want to more talk

0:43.3

about the morality of it. As I understand it, the extremely liberal court case has ruled on a

0:51.7

situation where there was a man who was the son of a Nicaraguan diplomat to the United States.

0:59.7

He was granted U.S. citizenship because he was born in the United States.

1:04.1

He was issued seven passports over the course of his life, so he's been here for quite a long time.

1:09.3

And when he went to reapply for his latest passport,

1:12.8

they had checked and found out that he is not a U.S. citizen. And what the court ruled was,

1:18.3

was that he was not a U.S. citizen. There's a difference between an attache and a consul.

1:23.2

And apparently an attache is not subject to the political jurisdiction of the United States of America.

1:30.5

They have to follow our laws. They have to follow the territorial jurisdiction. But the attache is under

1:36.0

the political jurisdiction of the country from which he came from, which in this case, I believe

1:40.9

was Nicaragua, which means that his children are not under the legal jurisdiction of the United States, which means that they are not U.S. citizens.

1:50.0

So this particular ruling is a pretty narrow case here.
