Cheryl Samberg actually called me on and said, that was out of meaning and I said something

in front of the other executives and she said, after what she pulled me aside, she said,

you can stop fighting now, you've won. And she realized it wasn't about fighting for your rights,

it was actually I was just fighting everyone. And she's like, wow, you're winning everyone around

you, you need to back off. And it took me a long time to understand what she was saying, but it was

so transformative to me because that fight was everything I had and I had to find a new identity.

Well, what am I fighting for now? At the time, that kind of that power of being angry and upset

at how I grew up was rocket fuel because it drove me to succeed to be ambitious, to do all the things.

And then suddenly it was starting to burn me up and it was starting to hurt my relationships.

And I had to really retool and figure out where I wanted to go from there.

It's so great to be able to connect. So you are the CEO of a really significant company. I think

at one point it was a public company. It might have gotten taken private. You might know it as Ancestry.com.

I've seen it referred to as Ancestry, which is probably a little bit broader. What is Ancestry?

You know, Ancestry is the world leading genealogy company, but we also specialize in helping people

tell their family histories and discover their family histories. So most people know us because you

would be able to try to build a family tree. Or if you've actually done a DNA test, we're actually the

world's largest consumer genomics company hidden in a family history company as well. And so

it is a way to show how the human race has been connected to each other in many ways we never imagined.

Wow. So did you use it? You showed up and you're like, oh, I better test it out.
