viewpoints from within football, whether that be sporting directors, to scouts, to player liaison

officers, and more. For today's episode, we'll be looking at deals from the data and analytics

side, the implementation of data around recruitment, how players are identified, what it's like

working with clubs and even players using data to market themselves within multi-million

pound deals on the line,

which is why I'm delighted to welcome Ted Canootson to the show, founder and former CEO of

in a really strong way with you coming on. Obviously, lots of experience and stories, I'm sure,

from the field during your time at Statsbom and your current adventures, just before we start, could you

give the listeners some background on yourself and your journey into football analytics?

Because I don't think many people will know the circumstances around which Statsbom was first

formed.

Yeah, so it was originally a blog in 2013.

Prior to that, I was a professional sports better and worked building kind of products,

lead trader for the Premier League for an offshore bookie called Pinnacle.

And we were largely regarded as like one of the smartest bookies in the world.
