Hello super great kids and how are you? I wonder if it's hot where you live.

Possibly not if you live in Australia or New Zealand where it's winter.

But here in the Northern Hemisphere it's mid-summer and it is very hot.

So I've been doing lots of swimming to keep cool.

I think maybe my mum was a mermaid. I've been swimming in our local river and it feels cold and delicious.

My dog loves it too because it's hard being a dog wearing a fur coat when it's hot and sunny.

I bet she longs to just unzip it and take it off.

The story this week is a trickster tail told by two and it's got swimming and hot sun in it.

It's called a Nancy and Tiger Fat. Before we begin this story, a tiger is one of the big cat predators.

Can you think of any other big cats? I'll give you a little clue. One is a lion.

I love questions far away. What is the best kind of story?

Well I think the best kind of story is an old story which has been told for many years and passed on from person to person.

Oh that's a good answer. I thought you're going to say something specific like only Baba Yaga stories or a Nancy stories or stories that have to have two headed giants in them.

No, just a story which has been loved and passed along and told by lots of people.

Right okay so if we really want more people to hear stories seems like we're going to need help from our lovely listeners.

Yes we know these stories because people have been sharing them with each other for donkeys years.

I tell you you tell someone else they tell someone else and soon everyone knows the story.
