schedule came out Laura we thought we'd be talking about the mandatory mini-camp seeing everybody

out there on the field for a full week and the mandatory

mini-caps around the league. The media has to watch or at least the rule is that

the media is going to be out there for all the practices.

But in the case of the 49ers, the media that

cover the 49ers won't be out there for any practices

because the players won't be out there for any practices.

They don't exist right now.

And that's not just because of Kyle Shanahan deciding that he really wanted to give his players 40 days off.

We talked about that on the last episode of 49ers talk, but also there were some sanctions from the league as well.

Yes, so the rookies were going to stay around and I think they were still allowed to stick around. But as a kind of a punitive measure that the NFL took against the 49ers, they docked them their off season rookie program, the player development

or player engagement activities that the rookies usually stay around for for and that's not on the field work but it's you know stuff in the weight room

You know some film study that that they can do with coaches I think they were still able to do that

Although the coaches have disappeared and they're on vacation now.

But also, you know, these meetings that were designed to help

players acclimate to the NFL, the NFL said, no, you can't have that because this is our punishment

for seeing a social media video where the 49ers were engaging in illegal activity which sounds really bad

until you realize that... Until you see the video until you see the video and

apparently the video. And apparently, like bump and run or press coverage is not allowed and we're not talking media press coverage.
