Summary

Liverpool's long unbeaten run at Anfield is over, while their Champions League crown will not be retained this season thanks to Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid. But was the Spanish outfit's display a managerial masterclass, or is that suggestion a myth? And who is to blame for the Reds crashing out of the tournament? That game is analysed, as well as the Premier League victory over Bournemouth, which seems an awfully long time ago now. With uncertainty over the extent of the Coronavirus and health measures which might yet be brought in affecting sports events, the Merseyside derby on Monday night seems a fair way off too, though the Reds will already be planning for that match taking place.
