Happy New Year everybody and welcome to Change Up and before we go too much further

Just want to say what an amazing kick off to Change Up last week with Brad Jones. What about that talk?

So great

So great and what a great hinge for us going into the New Year to be thinking about the possibilities of our lives because Jesus invites us

Into places that oftentimes we wouldn't really see or understand or imagine

Without him but then he leads us in. You know we get around the New Year's resolution thing in Brad

Asked last week and we don't show the the crowd or the audience on our videos

And so as I'm watching Brad's talk online. I really can't see the response

But I'm guessing based on his response that when he said how many of you have

New Year's resolutions that it wasn't anyone was that the deal because he kind of looked funny

And then he asked again and then he looked funny or again after he asked again

And I don't know what I think about that. I'm not going to ask you again because you've already been asked several times

But I think a lot of us have New Year's resolutions

I think a lot of us have hope right now

But I hope we have hope right now. I hope you've got some hope right now

But here's the thing I think if we go on record with the New Year's resolution like we say it out loud

Then what we do is give everybody else the ammunition that they're going to need to come back at us when we don't in fact

Do the thing that we said we were going to do so some of us are whole non to hope right now

We're just not speaking it out for other people's benefit anybody know what I'm talking about right there

Because you're like I'm going to I'm going to lose a little weight this year right and so you've telling everybody

I'm I'm an you know, I'm going to lose weight or I'm going to go to the gym this year

You know and about three months later or three weeks later your exact speech for lunch order in that birthday cake shake
