The history of Israel is the best example. That God brought a wicked ruler over them to bring them back. And God can do the same. I mean, I would say just now is the time to leave the passivity and be active in faith.

Welcome once again to the Conversations That Matter podcast. I'm your host John Harris. We have a wonderful

interview for you today with a gentleman that I had the privilege of not only meeting, but also

spending some time with on somewhat of a treacherous hike in the Adirondacks at our men's retreat last

year. And that is Mateen. Meteen is a evangelist to Muslims in the Houston area specifically.

And he grew up in Iran.

And I thought because of all the political and religious as well,

controversies and questions regarding not only conflicts with Iran

and potential threats socially coming from the broader Muslim world to America,

but also just the spiritual differences between Sunni and Shiite Islam and the differences between Islam and Christianity.

I thought maybe Matin could help clear up some of the questions and provide some encouragement,

give us his testimony, how he went from Islam to Christianity, and tell us about some of the

things we should be concerned about concerning Islam in our country.
