Hello, thank you for having me today. I'm so

grateful for the opportunity. Absolutely. It's our pleasure. So Alexis, tell us a little bit about

yourself and your background getting into music therapy and where you are at today as a musical

therapist serving older adults.

Yeah, so I've always loved helping people.

I've loved music.

I grew up in a very musical family.

And so in high school, when I began thinking about what I wanted to do for work, my future profession. I knew I wanted to do something that

involved helping people, but I also wanted to do something that involved music. So I, in my

sophomore junior year of high school, I learned about music therapy as a profession,

and it just piqued my interest right away, started researching it, and learned that I could actually go to school for it.

And it just, I knew immediately like it was a good fit.

And for me, it's the perfect intersection of my desire
