I am Sarah Cliff and I'm here today with a bit of a special episode for you guys.

I had the unique opportunity to interview Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell.

I spent about an hour in her office in Washington, DC.

It was a great experience.

We got to have a really in-depth discussion on health policy.

Some of the things we were able to cover was a lot about value-based payment, how the

administration is thinking about pushing doctors to provide better quality health care.

We talked a lot about how those programs are going.

One of the things I was really interested in was talking to Secretary Burwell about the

different programs that she runs.

She's in charge of Medicare, which covers about 55 million seniors, Medicaid, which covers

about 70 million low-income Americans, and then the marketplaces, which covers 20 million

Americans.

She is running the largest health insurance plans in the country, and they're all quite

different.

Some are public, some use private health insurance carriers.
